Please join us in working with the Lancaster County DSS to help ensure that local kids have the supplies that they need for the next school year!

The LCDP and LC-DSS need your help!

The Lancaster County Democratic Party is partnering with Lauren Kornegay of the Lancaster County Department of Social Services in order to help make sure that all Lancaster County Students have the supplies that they need for the upcoming school year.

How You Can Help:

There are a few ways that you can help make sure local kids have what they need to learn and grow.

1. Donate Funds

You can donate money to be used for the purchase of needed school supplies. To do so, visit https://www.lancasterdemocrats.com/donate-1 and follow the prompts to donate. Please add a comment to your donation to let us know that you want your contribution to be ear-marked for this program.

2. Donate Time

Lauren Kornegay, the director of this program, will need assistance sorting and packing the donated supplies, as well as help getting the supplies where they're needed. If you're interested in helping do this, please let us know via our website or social media pages.

3. Donate Supplies

Finally, you can donate school supplies directly. All supplies will be packed and delivered to children in our area who have a need for school supplies. Here is a list of the supplies that are needed:

  • 3 inch binders
  • Pocket folders
  • Scissors
  • Index cards
  • Markers
  • Color pencils
  • Erasers
  • No.2 pencils
  • Black pens
  • Backpacks
  • College rule paper
  • Wide rule paper
  • Glue sticks
  • Highlighters
