LCDP General Meeting featuring Representative Heather Bauer
You don’t want to miss this one!
SC House Representative Heather Bauer is joining us in person to update us on her work in our legislature. Come hear about the amazing things she has accomplished, even in the minority, and hear what we can do to make South Carolina a better place. We will be on Zoom, too, in case you’re traveling!
About Rep. Bauer:
Heather believes in the American dream because she is living it.
Heather Bauer has represented the people of House District 75 since 2022, when she defeated a long-time Republican incumbent by holding him accountable for voting to strip women of their right to choose an abortion. Heather was the only South Carolina Democrat to flip a seat red to blue that year.
During her first legislative session, Heather has proven to be one of the most consequential members of the state House—passing bi-partisan legislation and delivering results for Columbia.
Heather was named the 2024 Champion of Choice by Planned Parenthood, Legislator of the Year by the SC Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, a Rising Star by SC Women in Leadership, and the Joseph Neal Elected Official of the Year by the Young Democrats of South Carolina.
Heather is an insurance technology project manager and owner of Warrior Fitness and Martial Arts. She earned her master’s degree at the University of South Carolina in media arts. She serves on the board of the Nickelodeon Theatre.
In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her sweet puppy, Lilly!

Take action with the
South Carolina Democratic Party.
Voting creates the change you want. And your vote counts. More Democratic voters means more Democratic candidates and more Democratic elected officials working for you not for Big Business.
If you are registered to vote, vote blue WHEN YOU VOTE.
If you are not registered it is urgent that you do so…and then vote in every election!
Voting is your most basic Constitutional Right. For information on registering to vote, click here. Or you can click the image to the left to go to the South Carolina voting information site created for and by Democrats. We invite you to join the Democratic Party.
Democrats fight for fairness and equity.
Here are some of the items on the Democratic National Committee agenda for change:
Provide immediate relief to individuals and businesses adversely affected by the pandemic.
Use the power and authority of the federal government to provide testing, tracing, and critical supplies to fight COVID-19 and future threats to public health
Increase wages, close the wealth gap, and strengthen Social Security
Expand access to health care, lower costs, and stabilize Medicare and Medicaid
Eliminate entrenched disparities that stifle opportunity, including systemic and institutional racism
Reform our criminal justice system; reduce mass incarceration and invest savings in affected communities
Restore America’s global leadership; repair our relationships with allies and stand up to bullies
Protect and promote every American’s right to vote
Enact sensible immigration reform to keep America’s promise of freedom and opportunity
Support our veterans and military families
Ensure access to reproductive care, end violence against women, and elect more women candidates
Take action on climate change and advance clean energy technology
Rebuild our country’s infrastructure to create jobs and protect communities
Pass commonsense gun safety measures to save lives
Provide education and training to prepare kids for tomorrow’s challenges
Guarantee fundamental civil rights, liberty, and equal protection under the law for every American.
These are the bedrock values of our Party.
“Don’t Boo. Vote!”
Remember, vote in every election, not just for President - although that’s critical in setting the agenda for the country, please vote every two years especially for South Carolina Democrats for Senators and Representatives who represent you in Washington, D.C.
The most good, though, that directly affects you comes from “hometown” Democrats elected to your own statehouse. Don’t leave this to chance. Having a Democratic majority in Columbia is where South Carolina change for good happens. No more status quo! We know that isn’t working for South Carolinians. Time for change. Time to vote Democrat! Now more than ever!
